Human trafficking is a modern form of slavery. Perpetrators impose their will on the victims by exploiting their helplessness and using means of pressure, through violence or deception. This exploitation is illegal even if the victim consents. People are bought and sold and mainly exploited in the markets of prostitution, begging, illegal labor, and organ trafficking.
